Meet the band
Formed in 2023, Red Karma is committed to celebrating the enduring musical influence of Taylor Swift. The band hosts various tribute concerts throughout the Pacific Northwest, uniting fans through unforgettable live concert performances that pay homage to the iconic artist.
Ireland Woods
lead vocals, guitar
Ireland Woods began singing around a piano with her sisters and father at a young age. Ireland first started singing at church when she was six years old, and went on to perform in musicals soon after. Now being a licensed esthetician and running her small business Beauty by the Woods, Ireland still makes music a large part of her life. You can catch her performing all around Skagit, Whatcom and Snohomish county solo with her acoustic guitar, singing harmonies with her sisters, or with her music groups Sweetwood or The Problem, a funk/jazz collective. She is thrilled to be a part of Red Karma and spread the positivity, relatability and poetry of T-Swift’s tunes!
Abby Chase
backing vocals, guitar
Abby Chase first got on stage at 4 and has continued ever since, performing in musical theatre, show choirs, and local music groups while competing in figure skating, culminating in becoming National Champion on Team Canada in college. Now working remotely as a management consultant, Abby seeks to continue performing and singing wherever she can and is so excited to pay tribute to one of her earliest role models for incredible musicality and forging your own path in the world!
Ray Coughlin
guitar
After growing up as a guitarist in East Coast rock bands, Ray moved to Seattle. He started playing and recording with mostly female artists. That turned into some co-writing, sideman work and time in cover bands. Now Red Karma is the “big project”. He still hasn’t found the Taylor Swift song he doesn’t want to play.
Eric Hoglund
bass
Eric is a seasoned bassist who has played on stages across Seattle and Chicago. His musical journey spans both original and cover performances with various bands. Beyond the bass, Eric is a multi-instrumentalist also music composition and audio engineering. His passion for music finds a new home as he joins the Swifty experience.
Mike Holm
drums, backing vocals
Mike Holm is a session drummer with experience in funk, pop, and rock, skilled at matching his playing style, drum tuning and dynamics to a range of musical contexts. Mike has built a home studio where he records live drums with artists across the globe. From dance pop with The Trash Pandas, indie rock with Straight Lines Bright Colors, and the highly syncopated funk-rap fusion of Patterns of Saturn, Mike is always able to pull something from his deep bag of grooves and masterfully blend it to fit the time and place.
